If you live in Ridgefield or have driven through recently, you've probably noticed banners along the road thanking Ridgefield first responders. We are proud to have one of those banners displayed in front of our Pamby Service Department on the corner of Danbury Road and Copps Hill Road (Near Ridgefield Stop & Shop).

Organized by Rotary Club of Ridgefield Sunrise, this is the first time the town has formally dedicated May as Ridgefield First Responders Recognition Month. Pamby is tremendously grateful to the work our firefighters and police force perform for our neighborhood. It is our great privilege to be able to thank them publically.

Ridgefield has eight banners in total saying "thank you" to our first responders, local vendors have dropped off meals and pamphlets thanking first responders can be found in many Main Street shops. Rotary Sunrise President Geri Blair is hoping Ridgefield First Responders Recognition Month will be repeated annually and maybe even grow to become a national event. "Anyone can participate," she says. "Bring something to the police department: a basket of fruit, a plate of bagels, simple thank you notes, just say hello when you pass them on your walk."
