Thank you for doing a bang-up job (couldn't resist the pun) in auto body, John!

Employee Spotlight focuses on the people who make a difference at our Pamby Motors dealership, collision center, auto repair location and gas station. Check back over the next few weeks to see if your favorite employee is featured, or follow this link to email us and recommend someone who has impressed you.
Family, tradition and values are what define Pamby, and we like to think of our employees as part of our extended family. To show our appreciation for the people who work by our side daily, we run a blog series called "Employee Spotlight."

Today, we shine the spotlight on our auto body technician, John Modzelewski. John has been working with us for four years and is a huge asset to the department. He can fix anything from dented bumpers to heavy collision. "Every car is a challenge," John says. "My goal is to get it back on the street and keep it driving." He still hasn't met a car he couldn't fix. "You just can't be afraid to fix it," he says.

John's auto body experience dates all the way back to when he was in the seventh grade, which gives him an interesting perspective on car repair. He's seen how cars have evolved over the years and says they've become much more technical and precise in the way they're built. Everything is measured down exactly to the milliliter and has to fit together in an exact way. Years ago, cars were built similarly, but today, every car is built completely different from other lines.

When John isn't putting cars back together, you might find him on the baseball field. He's an umpire for kids' baseball in Bethel, Newtown and Oxford. In fact, he's Umpire in Chief of Western Connecticut. You can guess he's got a pretty thick skin. John is married and has four kids of his own: three boys and a girl - all grown up. When he has some extra time, he works on his Lionel train collection.
