Easter Jeep Concept Cars Featuring 707-hp Trailcat and Crew Chief 715

It's that time of year again - time for the annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. Every year, for the last 50 years, Jeep designers have brought out some of the wildest concept vehicles imaginable to the beautiful Moab desert terrain. This year is all the more exciting since Jeep is celebrating its 75th anniversary.

Of the seven concept cars, the 707-hp Jeep Trailcat is the one grabbing the most attention. It's a tricked-out Wrangler that's been stretched a foot and stuffed with a 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine - borrowed from Dodge - to give it that 707-horse power. It must have amazing towing capabilities, which means "we're gonna need a bigger boat." The sporty seats are borrowed from Viper and paired with 39.5-inch BFGoodrich off-road tires and massive axles and shocks.

Because we have a soft spot for the military, our personal favorite at Pamby is the Jeep Crew Chief 715. This throwback to the Kaiser M715, was built as a salute to legendary Jeep military service vehicles. It comes from a Wrangler Unlimited that's been stretched and lifted, to make room for a pickup bed in the back and four doors along the sides. It runs on 20-inch beadlock wheels, however, sitting in the leather/canvass bucket seats you might wonder if you're about to fly a plane or drive a yacht. With your hands on the air-craft-inspired control switches and your eyes on the huge navigational compass on the dash, you'll be channeling your inner Bond.

There are five more concept cars you'll want to check out, but we'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

The 2016 Easter Jeep Safari concept runs from March 20 to March 27.
