People of Ridgefield and surrounding towns, get ready to witness some extreme gardening. It's time for the third annual Ridgefield Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off. Pamby is happy to again be one of the sponsors of this fun-filled community event.

Humongous pumpkins and squash in different colors and different shapes will take center stage. Gardeners bring in contenders from all over Connecticut and surrounding states. The stakes are high. Last year's winning pumpkin tipped the scale at 1, 625.5 pounds! Could we get a record breaking size this year? It will take 1,766 pounds to beat the Connecticut record.

Prize money will be awarded to the top 5 pumpkins and squash - $1,500 for the biggest pumpkin and $500 for the largest squash. A special $500 bonus is reserved for the pumpkin that can break the state record. There is also a youth category with 1st and 2nd place prize money.


This is a free-to-attend event. Come and enjoy:
